The last month has consisted of endless hours thinking and designing the direction I want to take these garments into, a truly under appreciated aspect I never really considered would be so time consuming and difficult, the means of getting to the end of a product line being ready is proving testing. The whole learning aspect having no industry experience has made me appreciate the Process and Thought that it takes to create garments. It's been truly problematic and expensive making all the mistakes I possibly could, but thats all part of the journey. Learning to appreciate each aspect is something you really have to take in your stride and although this is just the start I feel like we have grown a huge amount already. When I look back on previous designs that I have tinkered with in my free time in the months gone by we have grown leaps and bounds, and the aim is to elevate this further with each and every item.
Something I have really been thinking about is the direction to take this. My ultimate goal is to create a product that I would want to wear in any setting. Whilst being heavily influenced by Sports and the heritage attached, we also aim to be a main stay within the the Menswear Section of the market by trying to produce products that people would want to wear in whatever setting they are in. Something for the Sporty Individual to wear to the gym to something they would want to wear to go out. Ultimately creating a garment to expand and fill the wardrobe full of Luxury Remi Jacques garments.
The idea of Creating a Luxury British Menswear brand is a daring task in what has become a very competitive and saturated market. From the Minimalist design of Cole Buxton, to the constant elevation of product at Represent, the market is ever growing and changing with brands making big statements. Our Lifecycle goal is to also make an indent within the Premium menswear space just like these British design labels.
Looking forward, we have received some samples which require some iterations that'll be sampled again to ensure the standard we are looking for is met fully whilst still building relationship with our garment manufactures. We are looking for a release of some of these products from around March/April 2026. A product that we have finalised and received the bulk order last week is our Baseball Silhouette cap. This has taken us about 12 months to perfect the right shape and fabric colour selections with months of testing, this is heavily inspired by a New York Yankees contrast cap that we have put our own spin on with a script logo and branding to the side. We will look to release these the opposite side of Christmas I would say as they are more of a Summer Style item.
Overall, we are pretty close to launch and things are falling into place ready for us to go to market.
